Parma pigs are specially bred from large White, Landrance and Duroc breeds in 11 regions of central-northern Italy. They are fed on a strictly regulated diet of blended grains, cereals and whey from Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese production, all ensuring a hefty and healthy animal!
