Dried Portabella Mushrooms - 2 oz
Description
The easiest way to describe a portabella mushroom is as the Italians did, by calling it “a big hat” or “cappellone”. They are easy to spot, because they are really big brown mushrooms, with flat caps approximately 5 inches in diameter or bigger.
Some say they were named after Portobello Road in London; others say they were named after a TV show called “Portobello”. However they got their name, we call them amazingly delicious. They are in the chanterelle family and come to us from Mardona, our highest quality Italian gourmet food producer. Sauté in butter or add to soups and stews and stuffing mixes.
